#freakfish – a long-form narrative illustration for Internet NZ, exploring and explaining misinformation and ‘fake news’ online
This engaging narrative illustration was developed to sit alongside InternetNZ’s event ‘Truth, Justice and the Internet’, and to help communicate ideas explored in their new policy paper about digital misinformation and social media. It was further published on The Spinoff as part of a written piece by policy advisor Nicola Brown.
Following a brainstorming workshop with Internet NZ, I developed the story arc and long-form narrative illustration. I also created a simple business card that was given out at the event, encouraging the audience to look at further information online.
